This role reports to the Director of Talent
Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000
About This Role
The Talent Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the talent department, including overseeing talent contracts, negotiations, and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing relationships with talent and their representatives, and supporting the Director, Talent in strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the talent department
- Negotiate and manage talent contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Coordinate with production, creative, and account management teams to facilitate smooth talent operations
- Maintain relationships with talent agents, managers, and legal representatives
- Assist the Director, Talent in developing and implementing talent management strategies and processes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations and contractual obligations
- Provide guidance on talent-related issues, including contracts, payments, and disputes
- Prepare reports on talent activities and metrics for the Director, Talent and senior management
- Mentor and support the development of the Sr. Associate and Talent Associates
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years experience working with production contracts
- Strong understanding of business affairs, legal compliance, and contract negotiation within the advertising and entertainment industries
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding and application of the SAG-AFTRA Commercials Code and other applicable union agreements
- Proficiency in contract management and Digital Assets Management systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Leadership and team management skills
